The William and Mary Rowing Club travelled to the Richmond, VA for the third annual Rocketts Landing Regatta hosted by Virginia Commonwealth University. The day started off strong for the Tribe as the novice women’s 8+ finished first. The novice men’s 4+ echoed this success with a first place finish in
their heat against James Madison University, Liberty, and Virginia Commonwealth University.
The varsity women’s 8+ raced later in the day and seized another first place finish for the Tribe. The men’s varsity 8+ took on one of their greatest rivals, George Mason University, in the final race of the day. The William and Mary crew finished in a close second to George Mason.
The team is now working hard to finish the last week of classes and exams while preparing for the Dad Vails Regatta on May 13th-16th. Stay tuned for more details.
