…and so it begins. The spring/sprint racing season began this past Saturday with our home race on the Chickahominy River, the Virginia Invitational. The weather was impeccable, and WMRC was happy to welcome George Mason University, James Madison University, and Liberty University to our race.
The entire women’s squad went undefeated on the day, winning every race conclusively. The men’s squad also performed well, winning the V4+ and N4+ races.
The squad is excited about their race this next weekend, the Occoquan Sprints, where we’ll really learn where we match up with some of the top East Coast rowing teams. Stay tuned for more results!
