What does rowing mean to you, why do you row, and/or how has FWR impacted your WMRC experience? I played a lot of different sports as a kid and in high school, so I knew I wanted to find a club sport to get involved in when I came to college. When I came across the rowing club during Freshman Orientation, I knew it was what I was looking for, even though I wasn’t exactly psyched about the early mornings. Since then, I’ve come to love both the sport of rowing and all the great people I’ve met through the club. Not only have I made amazing and lifelong friends through WMRC, but through working with FWR, I’ve gained an appreciation for the strong network of individuals that the William & Mary Rowing family is comprised of. Seeing FWR in action makes me grateful to have such a solid alumni base and further solidifies that I made the right choice in trying rowing. Rowing has added so much to my college experience, and I truly don’t know where I would be without it!
