On April 11, 2019, USRowing announced the athletes that were invited to the 2019 Under 23 (“U23”) Men’s and Women’s National Team Selection Camps this summer. Included on this list was none other that William & Mary’s own Sophia Luwis from the Class of 2020! Tribe Rowing and the Friends of Tribe Rowing couldn’t be more proud of Sophia for this accomplishment and we wish her the best of luck in this summer’s races!
Sophia will be attending the Lightweight Women’s Under 23 Women’s National Team Selection Camp held in Boston under the direction of Boston University’s lightweight women’s head coach, Malcolm Doldron. The lightweight women’s camp will select the lightweight women’s quadruple sculls crew that will race at the 2019 World Rowing Under 23 Championships.
