The 2013 William and Mary Rowing Club Endowment Fund Charity Golf Tournament will be held at the world class facilities at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA.

Kingsmill is the crown jewel in the Williamsburg golfing community. Home to past PGA tournaments (the Michelob Championship, the Anheuser Busch Classic, and the Kaiser International Invitational Open), golf legends like David Duval, Tom Watson, and Jack Nicklaus have all played these beautiful links.

This year’s tournament will be on the tree-lined Plantation Course.  Ranked as one of Golf Digest’s top 10 courses for women, the presence of wide, generous fairways makes this course accessible for golfers of all skill levels.  Yet, multiple water hazards, deep ravines, and fast undulating greens will challenge the short game of even the most experienced player.

Named after the Kingsmill Plantation (seen above) which is nearest to the second hole. This plantation housed one of Virginia's famous families, the Burwells for four generations.

Adjacent to the James River and a short row away from William and Mary’s boathouse, Kingsmill embraces Williamsburg’s rich history. Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed the Plantation Course to incorporate the natural landscape and historical landmarks that transports golfers to a distant time.  You will drive onto fairways that have hidden Native American artifacts; putt on the same luscious lawns that Revolutionary soldiers marched upon; and stroll under trees that once echoed the cadence of a fife and drum corps and blasts from a distant cannon.  The result is a challenging but enjoyable escape from the frantic pace of the 21st century.
