While you’re enjoying your Saturday morning, William and Mary rowers are racing on the ergs at the 5th annual Colonial Erg Sprints. Held in William and Mary’s Recreation Center’s MAC Court, over 120 rowers from VCU, WMRC, WBC, and other clubs are competing on linked concept2 ergometers. Their relative positions and splits will be displayed on a projector for all to see. A true adrenaline rush that heightens the level of competition and leads to many personal best 2000 meter times.
Additional events include the coaches and coxswain 500 meter dashes, and a 10,000 meter two-person relay. Alumni Denton Woodward and Tom Martineau have teamed up to tackle the 10k relay. Tom’s lungs are also going to be burning when he races a 2k! Good luck to them and all Tribe rowers today!
